There are lots of fun ways to pass the time during a rain delay — paper rock scissors, tic-tac-toe, trying to murder your groundskeeper — but “pretending to be The Rock and having a WWE-style wrestling match in the grass” is the new top choice.
With a hat tip to Deadspin, here’s UNC Wilmington outfielder Joe Bertone hitting a Rock Bottom and a People’s Elbow during a rain delay. It’s good form, considering he doesn’t actually have ropes.
Bonus points for the unbearable announcers, who are just arbitrarily naming wrestling stuff.
